From the elemental to the grand, we get in there and do everything in our not inconsiderable power to strengthen your manuscript. We have an affinity for first-time novelists and screenwriters but enjoy working with any piece—creative nonfiction, essays, dream journals, grocery lists—that could use a little help with clean-up and flow.

Fees vary from 2 cents to 2.75 cents per word and are based on the quality of the piece that needs editing and the projected time commitment. Turnaround time for developmental editing on a 90,000-word manuscript is slightly more than two weeks.

Word Mule’s Joe Gartrell worked his editing magic on my novel. He tweaked, trimmed and cleaned up the manuscript in a timely manner. I highly recommend their services!
